I'm a free spirited aging hippie
who loves talking to flowers, chasing rainbows
and photographing all the beauty that surrounds us
Thanks for taking a peek into my little world

Of Yesterday

This old one room schoolhouse sits quietly in the countryside
From chalkboards to school desks to artwork on the walls
so much remains intact
Like everyone just upped and left
When I discover these abandoned treasures
I take only photos
and leave everything as I found it

Oh what a treasure to stumble upon. It's awesome! And it's even more awesome that it's not been stripped of the things left behind.
Good on you for leaving it as you found it. I will hope the same for the next discoverer.

There's a special charm to old school houses.

Laura, this place has its own history. I love places like this, I can spend hours and hours just working around and imagining how it was many years ago.

This is a very special and very unique picture of this old schoolhouse. You showed so wonderfully its age and you told in your picture an interesting story.

Have a beautiful and nice weekend!

So sad, but what a treasure for a photographer.

It must have been a hot day when they left. Great colors in this shot!

I think this is by far my favorite photograph of yours. Love the textures on this one.

makes me wonder where all the people have spent their lives...the teachers and especially the children.
A photograph with questions. :))
