I presume that door was probably for loadin...Whoa! I presume that door was probably for loading corn into a loft! I can still smell what the corn loft smelled like from my grandpa's old barn. It's amazing to think a smell can linger in one's brain for over 60 years. It's very distinctive - a combination of corn husks and green hay (I'm thinking there was hay stored below and the corn above). I have no words to describe it.
