love the technical term poofies. :)
Usually, when you see a picture of thistle seeds, you see a goldfinch perched on the seedhead. I like the effect without the bird. Makes you concentrate on the beauty of the seeds themselves.

Laura, I tried to take pictures of Thistle Poofies and they all went to trash. Came out so bad....
