Hiking the Columbia River Gorge

We're out exploring
the Columbia River Gorge
and places there-abouts
on both the Oregon and Washington sides
  of the Columbia River.
We trekked out to these incredible falls Thursday
one of many in the gorge.
More discoveries await us in the coming days!
Image is basically straight out of the camera.

OH my goodness..... How amazing is this little spot.
And what a teaser of a photo.

Oh, I'm excited for the treasures--this one's full of them and I just want to biggify it to see what I can see! :-)

I've driven the historic highway many times, stopping to photograph the falls but never hiking anywhere. I know the experience must be wonderful. I'm interested to know what you found on the Washington side....I've driven that from The Dalles to the bridge at Biggs (and on up to Stonehenge).

Laura, this is a fairy tale. I never hiked in the places like this one. I even didn't dream about such place. So dense, so colorful!!!

Beautiful and wonderful photograph!

Hugs from Kaya.
