Some scars take a very long time to heal, others take forever. I am amazed at how quickly the lower slopes have not only revegetated but turned into a wild garden.
Thank you for showing us how Mt. St.Helens is faring. It went up in the same year as a wildfire erased all we had.

MSH is one of my favorite places to hike. Earlier this month I hiked the Boundary trail to the base of Coldwater Peak. The flowers were amazing! Hoping to have photos from this hike up on my blog by tomorrow. You'll have to stop by! :)
