I'm a free spirited aging hippie who loves talking to flowers, chasing rainbows and photographing all the beauty that surrounds us Thanks for taking a peek into my little world Laura
I have always enjoyed going through ghost towns...when we lived in Arizona, there were quite a few...and in Colorado. I would really like going through those along the Oregon Trail as you did.
And cemeteries...it IS sad to know so many infants were laid to rest too early.
Oh this would be so beautiful to see in person but your shots bring it to life. Thank you. Our early settlers did have so much to endure it makes you wonder why we complain about those little things. Great shots. Enjoy. B
Awesome. Seriously awesome--the photos are fantastic and filled with emotion. I'm hopeful you've snagged a few more that'll show up here. ;-) And I'm glad for the two of you having the opportunity to make the trek. How very cool.... (and yup, betting it WAS cool--look at the waves on the water)
Love this post. I share your love of ghost towns, and have wandered many in eastern Oregon and Montana. I admire our settlers' courage. I think of myself as brave, but i'd have definitely fallen short back then. The things they eent through...
Through my blog and yours I’ve met and made so many wonderful friends Who’ve enriched my life in so many wonderful ways Ways that words cannot begin to express ♥
Enjoy my pix but please don't call them your own. ♥

A beautiful drive. I grew up on the Washington side of the Columbia River and we use to take a ferry across to The Dalles.
Sounds like my kind of trip Laura! I love history. xo
