Mellow Yellow

Fresh and newly emerging
at the wetlands
Beautiful to see
but not so friendly to the nose
It's called skunk cabbage
and for good reason

Such a beautiful yellow, but the name tells us the 'aroma' we can expect!

LOL Now I'll have that song stuck in my head, thankyouverymuch!

And here I thought they were lilies....wow. They're appropriately named for the smell, no doubt. LOL
Oh, but a beautiful sign of the season.
