good advice and a gorgeous photo...thank goodness for late bloomers.
Awwww...pretty!
And I do check the background and frequently ask the subjects to move to a place more conducive for the photo. Butterflies are fairly cooperative. Hummingbirds.....notsomuch. ;-)
Background is so important, especially with close-ups and and DOF, where if it very busy it will distract from the foreground. But here it harmonies with the subject beautifully.
