Wild Roses

They flourish in our woodlands
along our country roads
just about anywhere

As far as I know, there are no endemic roses in America. Historically, the earliest we hear of roses in in Egypt and Persia nut it is nice to see these beauties have naturalised there.

Ah, but she's a beauty! They tuck themselves into some wonderful places and present themselves as tiny packages of joy whenever they're found. This one's a gorgeous one!

Wow! Our wild roses are "singles"...and because this part of the country tends to be drier than your part of the country, our roses aren't so voluptuous. ;-) Can't wait until I find some, though. The fragrance is amazing!
