They are such happy little flowers, aren't they.

It's Friday and you're gonna retire!! Woohoo! :-)

Even the flower knows to enjoy the gift of today. We're stubborn things, human beings. Ah, but sometimes stubborn=determined, eh?
;-)

Happy Friday! And blessings to you that include NO MORE spidery guys at nite nite time.

gorgeous flower ... really bold! hope you don't have spider nightmares. Kudos for sure to the charge card folks. staying retired is more fun!

Good for you for the card. It's so frustrating when that happens!

We've had that happen a couple of times with our card and although they made it right, right away -- it still angers me there are people out there that do this. Makes everything so much more expensive for the rest of us.

Gorgeous capture today Laura -- keep us posted on your retirement decision. :)

I didn't know your little town was being revitalized! That's great! (Also didn't know that you once had an antique store.) As for the charge card people, they have to be on their toes, don't they? I'm always thankful that they are. I've experienced "hijacking" with two different cards, but not large amounts. It's the idea, though, because I know companies don't prosecute the "smaller thieves."

I don't like spiders either. As I was driving the other day, I saw one crawling up my windshield--on the inside. I grabbed it with a tissue but dropped it. I had to pull over and find it--just couldn't drive thinking it was crawling on me! :-)

Good for the credit card people! Sounds like they made a bad situation as smooth as possible.

Our town has done a lot of downtown revitalization, too, with good results.

our card number was stolen a couple of years ago. the card company called because we had just gotten gas in roanoke but it was also being used for gas purchases and stuff in another state, i think pennsylvania. we were so happy they caught it so quick!

Retirement is fun!

Your photo is splendid, and indeed colorful. Love!

I wouldn't have been able to sleep with spidey in my room! Eek! Hubby would have had to find it and dispense with it!

I'm inclined to suggest you keep on taking beautiful images... full time. :)

Beautiful close up of the flower, nice details. I dislike spiders as well. We put chestnuts in corners on the floor of every room in the house. Seems to work.

Lovely photo! We almost got scammed on craigslist. Everything seemed on the up and up.. A Scary experience!

I've had more frequent credit card hijackings than I would like...so far, the credit card companies have caught them all, but it's frustrating, especially when I use a card for recurring monthly charges and have to re-notify everyone.

I am oddly fond of spiders. I don't know why! I only protest when they spin their webs in places I need to get to...which they're doing a lot of these days.
